Last night we picked up an achievement (Parasite Evening) during the Magmaw kill, and then took down the Omnotron Defense System!

For a job well done!

Last night we had our first 10-Man raid success by downing one of the initial Blackwing Descent bosses (Magmaw).

We started the night without a 3rd healer or a 2nd tank and things were looking bleak... But Martin and Steven both stepped into the breach (even though one had to fend off an angry girlfriend and the other was wrestling with a dubious internet connection).

We ran the "kite" strategy on the adds using a Frost-spec Death Knight (talented with Chillblains) and used a single tank on the Boss. We also stacked all our raid next to the boss during phase 1, allowing us to drop the Pillar of Flame away from the raid (most of the time).

Afterwards we ran straight over to Omnotron to take a look at that encounter (even though none of us had read up on the tactics) and we got that one down to about 50-60%. I suspect next time, this one will go down as well.

What with the shattering upon us, the Cataclysm launch only a week (or so) away, and because raiding attendence is way, way down..... I've decided to cancel all scheduled raids until the expansion arrives.

We will announce the new raid schedule and the updated guild/raid information sometime between now and the week following the release of the expansion.

I'll still be online Wed, Thur, Sun if anyone is wanting to still raid and needs some assistance.


EDIT: Some additional things that ARE happening though:

1) Guild bank has been sold off. No more deposits until the expansion hits.
2) All Raider ranks will be reset to Member.
3) EPGP will be reset with the top 50 characters (based on attendance/EP) will get a starting EP bonus. This will happen after the new EPGP values are posted.

So the patch has arrived and we have all sorted out our talents, glyphs, gera, rotations, user interface, and everything else that was messed up with the arrival of patch 4.0.1.

The Lich King Must Die.... Again!

So get signed up and be ready to RAID! We will be attempting to run 25-Man ICC over the next 4 weeks on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at the usual times. i.e. 9.15pm Server Time for invites, raid finishes at Midnight.

We will be blazing through the bosses as quickly as possible (hopefully Sindragosa won't cause us as many problems as last time) until we are standing once again at the foot of the Frozen Throne.

And this time I'm hoping that we are ready to take him down without any problems... BEFORE the Cataclysm arrives in about 6 weeks.
